Bob Jones High School Band

Vanderbilt Marching Invitational
Nashville
October 23, 1999

If there ever was a competition that had us nervous, it was this one at Vanderbilt. We'd never participated before, but all indications pointed to a possible blood-letting for our band. We're great, and we know it, but the level of competition at this event was said to be extreme--and we'd be the smallest band in the largest category. But we did it--came home with superior ratings for Band, Drum Major and Color Guard/Majorettes.

Way to go Bob Jones!

The band parents rallied to help get the kids psyched and vie for the "Most Spirited Cheering Section" trophy. See their page!  They were robbed--didn't get the trophy--but they sure had a great time. Next year they'll win for sure.
