Our Directors
Doyle Thornton, Director of Bands, and Stewart Thorson, Assistant Director
The 1999-2000 school year marks the first time in the
history of Bob Jones High School that we have a band directing staff instead of just one
teacher. Mr. Thornton is joined by Mr. Thorson and we couldn't be happier.
Mr. Thornton is a graduate of Southern Mississippi University; Mr. Thorson is from the University of Alabama. Both have extensive experience and training in music education and a love for music performance.
We appreciate both men's dedication and commitment; their senses of humor and fun. And ten years from now when our musicians look back on the most influential teachers in their lives, T&T will be at the top of the list.
